Club 500 Membership Terms and Conditions

Marine Rescue NSW – Middle Harbour Unit
(Volunteer Marine Rescue NSW Pty Ltd, ABN [ABN 98 138 078 092], a registered charity based at 239 Spit Road, Mosman NSW 2088)

1. Program Overview

The Club 500 Membership Program (“the Program”) is operated by the Middle Harbour Unit of Volunteer Marine Rescue NSW Pty Ltd (Marine Rescue). The Program provides members with recognition and access to benefits offered by independent third-party organisations (“Partners”) who choose to provide benefit offers to Club 500 members.

All funds received through Club 500 memberships go directly to support Marine Rescue Middle Harbour’s charitable operations, including volunteer training, recruitment, vessel maintenance, and operational costs.


2. Membership Fee and Term

  1. The annual membership fee is $500 (Inc GST) per member.
  2. Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of acceptance and full payment (“Membership Period”).
  3. New memberships commence once Marine Rescue confirms payment in full and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

3. Renewals

  1. Membership renewal occurs annually on the anniversary month of the original membership commencement date.
  2. Members will receive a renewal notice approximately four (4) weeks before their renewal date.
  3. Payment in full by the renewal date is required to continue membership for a further 12-month period.
  4. Failure to renew by the due date will result in membership lapse, and members will no longer be eligible for Club 500 Partner benefits.
  5. Refunds are not available for any reason once payment has been made.

4. Partner Offers

  1. Certain benefits, discounts, or offers (“Partner Offers”) may be made available to Club 500 members by the Partners.
  2. Partner Offers are provided solely by the respective Partners and are subject to their own terms, conditions, and availability.
  3. Marine Rescue does not supply, endorse, or guarantee any goods, services, or offers provided as part of the Partner Offers.
  4. Inclusion of a Partner or their offer within the Club 500 program does not imply any partnership, warranty, or recommendation by Marine Rescue.
  5. Partners may alter, suspend, or withdraw their offers at any time without notice.
  6. Marine Rescue accepts no responsibility or liability should a Partner Benefit be withdrawn, altered, cancelled, misinterpreted, or otherwise unavailable.
  7. Partner Offer Details: Specific Partner Offers, and any Partner-supplied terms and conditions are listed in Appendix A – Partner Offers and Specific Terms, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
    Where no specific Partner terms are listed in Appendix A, the Default Terms for Partner Offers in Section 5 shall apply.

5. Default Terms for Partner Offers

Where a Partner has not provided specific written terms and conditions for their offer to Club 500 members, the following Default Terms shall apply:

  1. Nature of Offer
    The Partner has agreed to make available a Partner Offer to Club 500 members as described in the published Partner Offer details (as shown on Marine Rescue Middle Harbour Club 500 Membership Website, printed materials, or official communications).
  2. Amendment or Withdrawal
    The Partner Offer may be amended, varied, suspended, or withdrawn at any time, at the sole discretion of the Partner and without prior notice to Marine Rescue or Club 500 members.
  3. Direct Relationship Between Club 500 Member and Partner
    The Partner Offer is made directly between the Partner and the Club 500 member.
    1. Marine Rescue is not a party to any contract, transaction, or agreement arising from the Partner Offer.
    2. All inquiries, clarifications, or additional information regarding a Partner Offer should be sought directly from the Partner.
  4. Member Responsibility
    Members are responsible for verifying the current terms, validity, and conditions of any Partner Offer prior to making a purchase, booking, or engagement with the Partner.
    Members should make their own independent inquiries to ensure the offer remains available and applicable.
  5. No Representation or Endorsement
    Marine Rescue does not:
    1. warrant or guarantee the accuracy of any Partner Offer information;
    2. endorse or recommend any Partner, product, or service;
    3. represent that the Partner Offer will meet any particular standard, quality, or outcome; or
    4. assume responsibility for the Partner’s fulfilment of any offer.
  6. Exclusion of Liability
    Marine Rescue, its officers, members, and volunteers accept no liability whatsoever for any claim, loss, cost, damage, or disappointment (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from:
    1. any reliance placed on a Partner Offer;
    2. any changes, withdrawal, or unavailability of a Partner Offer;
    3. the Partner’s performance or failure to perform; or
    4. any dispute between a Club 500 member and a Partner.
  7. Independent Advice
    Club 500 members are encouraged to make their own assessment and, where appropriate, seek independent advice before acting on any Partner Offer or entering into any transaction with a Partner.

6. Member Acknowledgement

By joining Club 500, members acknowledge and agree that:

  1. All Partner Offers are provided directly by the Partner to the member.
  2. Marine Rescue is not a party to any transaction between the member and the Partner.
  3. Marine Rescue makes no representation regarding a Partner’s products, services, or fulfilment of any offer.
  4. Marine Rescue will not be liable for any loss, damage, expense, or disappointment arising from reliance upon or participation in any Partner Offer.
  5. Volunteers or representatives promoting Club 500 are acting solely on behalf of Marine Rescue and are not authorised to make representations on behalf of any Partner.

7. Privacy and Member Information

  1. Marine Rescue collects member details solely for administering the Club 500 Program and maintaining contact with members.
  2. Club 500 members agree that Marine Rescue may share limited membership details (such as name, membership number, and status) with Partner organisations for the sole purpose of verifying eligibility.
  3. Partners are required to handle any member information provided to them in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
  4. Marine Rescue will not sell or disclose member information to any unrelated third party without consent, except where required by law.
  5. Marine Rescue’s privacy policy is available on the Marine Rescue Middle Harbour Club 500 Membership Website.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marine Rescue, its directors, officers, and volunteers exclude all liability for:

  1. any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, cost, or damage arising from participation in Club 500; or
  2. reliance upon, or use of, any Partner Offer.

Marine Rescue’s total liability (if any) is strictly limited to the amount of the annual membership fee paid by the member for the current Membership Period.


9. Amendment or Termination

Marine Rescue reserves the right to:

  1. vary or update these Terms and Conditions at any time;
  2. add, remove, or alter Partners or their offers; or
  3. suspend or terminate the Club 500 Program if necessary for operational or legal reasons.

The most recent version of the Terms and Conditions will be published on the Marine Rescue Middle Harbour Club 500 Membership Website and made available upon request.


10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and members submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.


Schedule A – Partner Offers and Specific Terms

The following Partners have elected to provide offers to Club 500 members.
Each offer is provided directly by the Partner and is subject to any specific terms listed below.
Where no specific Partner terms are shown, the Default Partner Offer Terms (Section 5 of the Club 500 Terms & Conditions) apply.

  1. d’Albora Marinas – Fuel Discount
  1. A 10 cents per litre discount is available off the posted bowser price at all d’Albora Marina operated 24/7 fuel wharves at the following six NSW Marinas: d’Albora Port Macquarie, d’Albora Nelson Bay, d’Albora Akuna Bay, d’Albora The Spit, d’Albora Rushcutters Bay, d’Albora Batemans Bay.
  2. The discount will be applied at the time of payment.
  3. This discount is not additional to any other fuel discounts you may already be receiving.
  4. The discount is limited to a maximum of 10 cents per litre off the bowser price.
  5. Participants are required to collect their d’Albora fuel discount card from d’Albora The Spit Marina Office and to receive a fuel induction session onsite. Only after obtaining the card and completing the induction session will Club 500 Members be eligible for the fuel discount.
  1. d’Albora Marinas – Boatyard Discount
  1. A 10% discount on Anti-foul packages is available on Boatyard by d’Albora – The Spit.
  2. This discount is provided subject to d’Albora’s standard service availability, scheduling, and any terms they may apply.
  3. Other eligible services at Boatyard by d’Albora to be quoted based on service type. The information in this material is indicative only and subject to change.
  4. The information does not represent any representation, warranty or commitment on the part of MA MARINA FUND OPCO NO. 1 PTY LTD ACN 667 243 601 trading as d’Albora Marinas (d’Albora Marinas), may not be relied upon in any way and will not form in any way any part of any contract. Any person must rely upon their own enquirers.
  5. While responsible care has been taken to provide this information, d’Albora Marinas and Volunteer Marine Rescue NSW Pty Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability if anyone relies upon it or for any loss, damage or claim suffered by any person.

  1. Discount Offered: 10% off Antifouling and Mechanical Services.
  2. Applicable Period: The discount is valid for works completed during the Autumn and Winter months only (1 March through 31 August).
  3. Service Location: Offer applies to services carried out by Short Marine at The Spit, Mosman.
  1. Redemption Process
  1. To redeem the offer, members must advise Short Marine they are part of Club 500 when making their booking.
  2. Once confirmed, Short Marine will provide a quote inclusive of the 10% discount.
  3. The discount cannot be applied retrospectively to previously accepted quotes or completed works.
  1. Exclusions and Limitations
  1. The offer applies only to Antifouling and Mechanical Services; all other works are excluded unless otherwise stated.
  2. The discount cannot be combined with any other promotion, offer, or package pricing.
  3. The offer is non-transferable and has no cash value.
  4. Short Marine reserves the right to verify Club 500 membership before applying the discount.
  1. General Conditions
  1. Short Marine confirms this offer is valid for the 2026 season only (1 March 2026 through 31 August 2026), unless renewed with Club 500 or otherwise specified. 
  2. All bookings are subject to Short Marine’s standard terms of trade and service conditions.
  3. In the event of any dispute, Short Marine’s decision will be final.
